Welcome to the Civil Service Cricket Club web site. We are one of Ireland's oldest cricket clubs. Formed in 1863 in the Phoenix Park, the club is part of the Leinster Cricket Union and currently boasts over 40 members.

Our players are drawn not just from Ireland but from all the major cricketing nations including Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan and England. Read more about the club in the About Us section ...

In a tight match, Service were all out for 107 in 33.5 overs batting first. Sandyford took 50 overs to reach the total and lost 9 wickets in the process.

Gourav top scored for the Seconds with 58 as they finished with 143. The Hills reached the total in the 33rd over with the loss of just 6 wickets.

Scorecard: Trinity 2nds Vrs CSCC 2nds, 16 June 2008 (27th June 2008)
Trinity batted first in this midweek encounter and were all out for 126 in the 37th over, Gerry Kelly finishing with figures of 5 for 26 and Madhu finishing with figures of 4 for 15. Madhu contributed with the bat aswell scoring 72 as Service reached the total with the loss of 3 wickets.

Scorecard: CSCC 2nds Vrs Old Belvedere 2nds, 16 May 2008 (27th June 2008)
Service came up trumps in this encounter. Belvedere batted first and got 166 in 40 overs with Madhu, Muddy, Nadeem and Praveg sharing the wickets between them. Madhu topped scored with 37 and Muddy (25) and Praveg (34*) ensured Service won this with 5 wickets to spare.

Latest league tables published (23rd June 2008)

The latest league tables see the First Team placed 2nd in Senior 3, the Second Team placed 3rd in Middle B, the Thirds also placed 3rd in their league (Junior A) and the Fourth Team placed 6th in Junior C.

Firsts beat Rush by 8 wickets in the Park (16th June 2008)

The Firsts continued their good form in the league, beating Rush by 8 wickets in the Park. Rush elected to bat, but could only muster 105 in 27.3 overs. Sayyam picked up 4 for 19, Buts and J Mo picking up 2 apiece and D picking up 1 wicket. Service reached the total in 19.4 overs, Urv top scoring with 54 and Stevo finishing on 34 not out.

Thirds lose to Pembroke on Bank Holiday Monday (12th June 2008)

Civil Service 3 failed to put enough runs on the board batting first and were punished by a hungover Pembroke side.
